My speech teacher (who is 105 years old) thinks very lowly of our generation.

Now, he wants to use a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt but assumes that none of us is smart enough to possibly know who Eleanor Roosevelt is. So he decides to inform us -

"Eleanor Roosevelt was the wife of former president *thirty second pause* um...Franklin Delaware Roosevelt"
