Things that...

Things that make me happy:
-recieving lessons on how to foxtrot and swing dance with Bob in exchange for letting a high school classmate crash on my floor for a night
-Boober, the yorkie, is gone for good
-Nero is happy and sits on my lap because Boober is gone
-Coffee
-Spring break in one week
-Finding new Something Corporate songs on Soulseek

Things that make me unhappy:
-Not getting the internship I wanted and trying to find another one
-Skiing when the windchill is -10F
-Knowing that tomorrow is Monday
-Snow up to my chin
-Winter

Things that confuse me:
-Here's a story - so I'm skiing in Boone late at night - I go inside to warm up and get some free pizza (yay), I go back outside to ski again a half hour later. I get to the top of the hill and point my skis down the hill...and don't move. So, I put my skis parallel facing directly downhill...nothing happens. Bob whizzes by and stops to laugh at me and behold the wonder of my nonfunctional skis. I end up pushing myself down the hill with my poles because otherwise I would have to walk down the hill. So, I go to exchange my skis for some that had been waxed within the last century - the 17 year olds in the shack act like I'm an idiot and try to send me back out on the same skis. I demand a new pair of skis and all of them refuse to give them to me..until one little boy finally comes to my rescue. I get a new pair and zip down the hill just fine....It was confusing - how can skis work one moment and not the next?
